No full-sized orchestra can ignore the riot that occurred on May 29, 1913 in the Théâtre de Champs-Élysées at the première of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring. The piece is now a concert staple! We also feature the Ottawa composer Kelly-Marie Murphy’s saxophone concerto Fallability, Logic and the Return of Wonder written for Jeremy Brown, who will be our soloist.
