Overview for Participants

2018/2019 Ottawa Symphony Orchestra -Senécal Mozart Prize

The Ottawa Symphony Orchestra is an Ottawa institution of professional musicians renowned for the presentation of large symphonic works. Tracing our roots in the community over 115 years, the current organization has existed continuously since 1965. Our Symphony exists to provide a professional forum for local musicians to share their musical knowledge, talent and passion in our community: for lovers of symphonic music, the uninitiated, our city’s youth—and you!

We are proud to present the 2018/2019 Ottawa Symphony -Senécal Mozart Prize, offering a young musician, the unforgettable experience to play solo at an Ottawa Symphony orchestral performance.

The second year of this initiative will feature the ‘Exsultate, jubilate’ K.165  for soprano voice.

In addition to a $2,500 prize, travel and accommodation, and performance opportunity (Jan. 21st, 2019), this award is a valuable showcase to drive a professional career.
