The season launches with Machines & Myths, a powerful program featuring the full symphonic orchestra in its largest performance of the year. Combining Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Kelly Marie Murphy’s Machines, Mannequins, and Monsters, and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 15, this concert explores themes of heroism, technology, and the human condition—bridging classical grandeur and contemporary innovation.
Bursting with charm, music, and imagination, A Day at the Farm is an original Canadian production perfect for children aged four to fifteen—and a delight for the young at heart! With a special spotlight on the percussion section, the music introduces young audiences to the instruments of the orchestra, while vivid narration brings the farmyard adventure to life. It’s a joyful, family-friendly experience filled with colour, character, and creativity.
Single tickets for this program are not yet available—please stay tuned for updates.
The season concludes in grand fashion with Joseph Haydn’s The Creation, presented in collaboration with the Ottawa Choral Society, celebrating its 85th anniversary.
Widely regarded as a masterpiece of the Classical period, Haydn’s oratorio draws on a German translation of Milton’s Paradise Lost. Its 1799 premiere in Vienna was a sensation, and the work continues to inspire audiences with its sweeping vision and luminous music.
