Experience one of the symphonic repertoire's defining works.
Under the direction of Andrei Feher, the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra concludes its season with Haydn's Symphony No. 88 and Mahler's Fifth Symphony. Composed in 1901–02, Mahler's Fifth marked his return to the purely instrumental symphony and occupies a pivotal place in the composer's output, standing at the crossroads of the Romantic and modern eras. Rarely performed outside major orchestras because of its immense musical and orchestral demands, it remains one of the defining works of the symphonic repertoire.
